THE LUIGI
Description

Size: Torpedo 6 x 52
Wrapper: Maduro – Mexico, San Andrés
Binder: Ecuador
Filler: Dominican Republic; Nicaragua

Born in Marche, Italy, in 1891, patriarch of the Vallorani family, Luigi Vallorani, had an affinity for fine cigars. In the evening he could often be found tending a fire, with a smoldering cigar on the mantle. One cold Italian night, as he reached for his cigar, he picked up a scorpion instead by mistake. He quickly tossed it in the fire, narrowly avoiding a nasty sting. This is one of many examples that capture the essence of Luigi’s long life. He was a strong, independent man who was not afraid to resort to violence if it meant protecting his family and his business. This is where we derive this robust cigars namesake.

Hand-rolled in Nicaragua, The Aurelius is beloved for its consistently satisfying taste and rugged hints of earth and spice. A perfectly suited cigar to start your adventure off right. As Aurelius so aptly puts it,

“When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive – to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.”

Time is of the essence. The Aurelius, full of flavors, won’t have you sitting down for a two hour smoke. We recommend purchasing a copy of Meditations, a stoic tome written by Aurelius while on a military campaign between 170 and 180 AD.

Read a few pages for inspiration while you smoke. It is still revered as a literary monument to a philosophy of service and duty in the midst of conflict. Read Meditations while drawing in the rich flavor of The Aurelius and you will see where this remarkable cigar derives its name.

BUON GIORNO ITALIAN ROAST COFFEE
From the hillsides of Tuscany to the waters of the Amalfi coast to the architecture of Rome, Italy is one of the most beautiful countries in the world.

Whether it’s high fashion and fast cars or fine wine an extra-virgin olive oil, the word “Italian” is synonymous with quality and the enjoyment of life’s finer things. As an old Italian proverb urges, “If you cannot live longer, live deeper.”

Following in the footsteps of his great-grandfather Luigi, Brandon Vallorani is a second generation Italian-American entrepreneur with a passion for living life to the fullest. A successful businessman, Luigi had a steel-like work ethic that fueled his vision. He saw opportunity, and through hard work and determination, would soon see it thrive. Volumes could be written about all that Italians like Luigi have contributed to the world.

When you walk the streets of Italy, you’ll also discover that Italians know no strangers. If you take the opportunity to visit one of the many cafes in any Italian city, you’ll be greeted with warm and sincere hospitality. “Buon Giorno!” You’ll be offered gelato, a cannoli, likely a robust cup of caffé. Italians love their coffee almost as much as their wine. By the time you regretfully move on, you will be among friends.

To this end, we proclaim “Buon Giorno,” and invite you to take a moment to live deeply and enjoy this robust Italian roast with us, your new friends, before you tackle life’s newest adventure.

Ciao.
